The Moorooduc Polocrosse Club, as it stands was spawned from the Moorooduc Saddle Club. I think it was about 1980 when a bunch of Saddle Club members including myself, the Morgan brother Matt and Michael, Sharon Raoch and many others, attended a meeting at Moorooduc hall. When Alan Sibley and Alan Saltmarsh gave a talk on Polocrosse and an introductory. This was met with great enthusiasm, particulary from the younger male members. This led onto a practice and many training days.

I'm pretty sure the first time Moorooduc competed at a Tournament was at the site where the club grounds are now. It was my first Polocrosse Tournament. In 1984 I was in a team which won the first 'C' Grade State Champsionships. In the late 80's the club parted ways with the Saddle Club and formed the Moorooduc Polocrosse Club.

A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then, now our club is as strong as ever with many second and some third year generation players. Holding to the clubs family based network which I believe is something that sets the club apart from others. Today the club competes extremely well in all grades with the age and experience of players varied. With a solid foundation and a fantastic venue, Moorooduc Polocrosse Club is the envy of many in the state.
